Are you a moving company?
Yes — Buzzing Along Movers is a fully licensed and insured local moving company based in Oceanside, CA. We run our own trucks and uniformed crews on every job, with California CPUC (Cal-T) and USDOT/MC authority on file.
How much does a local move in Oceanside cost?
Local jobs begin at $139/hour for a 2-mover crew, with the truck, blankets, and tools all included. A typical 1–2 bedroom apartment runs 2–4 hours, while a 3-bedroom house usually takes 4–6 hours. Following a walkthrough or virtual estimate, we can also write you a flat-rate quote.
How early do I need to book?
For weekend moves, our peak window, we suggest booking 2–3 weeks ahead. Book a weekday or mid-month move and a few days’ notice is often all we need. When a crew is open, we’re glad to take on last-minute and same-day moves.
Which types of moves do you take on?
Local North County San Diego, intrastate California, and long-distance from Oceanside to anywhere in the US. Specialty pieces such as pianos, gun safes, and antiques are covered too. On top of moving, we handle packing, short-term storage, and downsizing help for seniors.
Are you insured?
Yes. Every move we run is backed by $1M in cargo liability coverage. Want Full Value Protection? It’s an optional paid upgrade, generally running a $35–$95 premium based on your declared value. On top of that, we’re bonded and hold general liability and workers’ comp. We turn around COIs for condo associations and HOAs the same day.
Do I have to be present on the day of the move?
Having you on hand at pickup and drop-off is ideal, though when you can’t make it, just appoint someone you trust to stand in for you. Either way, we run a walkthrough inventory at pickup and a sign-off when we deliver.
What happens if I have to cancel or change the date?
Cancel with 48 hours’ notice and there’s no charge at all. Moving to a new date costs nothing, provided that date is open. Saturday and Sunday slots book up quickly, so reaching out early gives us a better shot at fitting you in.
Which ways can I pay you?
Pay however suits you: every major credit card (Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Discover), debit, certified check, or cash. Booking takes zero deposit. You pay only at delivery, after you’ve looked everything over and signed off.
What do you do if something ends up damaged?
Basic valuation coverage comes with every move. Spot any damage? Flag it to the crew chief right away. We note it on the inventory sheet and open the claim then and there. We settle the majority of claims in 5–7 business days. For high-value belongings, you can add Full Value Protection as a paid upgrade.
